The Challenge
Monitoring diabetic foot is indeed action by patients with diabetic neuropathy because 50% chances to have ulcers in their lifetime. Go and check at the hospital often is not a feasible solution to preventing foot ulcers. Even Doctors report that people with diabetic foot do not visit hospitals until the ulcers come out. So, the patients need self-monitoring and smart device to improve the quality of life not depending on other's help.
The Solution
Smart Slippers can monitor the foot of diabetic patients using the pressure sensors that connected to the mobile phone via Bluetooth which indicates the current pressure status. The pressure is the primary indication of an ulcer.
