The Challenge

When students have to move out from a place to another, they have several possibilities to get help with the transportation of their goods: car rentals, specialized moving companies or privateers with a personal trailer/minivan. The first two options are usually too expensive, so it became really common to choose in favour of the privateers. So common that last year, only in Enschede, more than 100 students appealed to these services. Right now, the contact between these drivers and clients is done through social media platforms, a fact that brings up some risks and difficulties. The safety of the client and his goods cannot be guaranteed as the client will be exposed to an unverified and unknown driver.

The Solution

<MOver> app will connect the clients with the drivers around their areas, while being able to facilitate the needs and the safety of the customers with the chauffeurs and vice-versa. The drivers could have a verified profile with recommendations and reviews from other previous clients. The payment would be done easier as appointments could be reserved and the capital could be transferred after the service is offered. Moreover, this app could help you find with ease all the drivers on the same platform and choose between different sizes of the cars depending on how many goods you need to move, fact that, of course, is not possible at the moment. An incremental business model similar to ride-sharing apps as Uber or Lyft could be adopted, so that moving will be finally made easier, faster, simpler, safer and way more sustainable!
